AB Compressor respects your privacy. We understand that your photos and videos are personal. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data while providing image and video compression services.

1. Information We Collect

App Data (Local Only)
AB Compressor operations are performed entirely locally on your device. We do not upload your original files or compressed output files to any server.

When you compress, resize, or crop a file, the process happens using your phone's processor, and the result is saved directly to your phone's storage.

Automatically Collected Data (Diagnostics)
To ensure the app doesn't crash during heavy compression tasks, we use Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics. This collects anonymous data such as:

• Device model and OS version (e.g., Samsung S24, Android 15)
• Compression success/failure rates (to fix bugs)
• Crash logs
• Anonymous identifiers

This data never includes the content of your photos or videos.

2. Third-Party Services We Use

• Firebase Crashlytics & Analytics (Google LLC): Used to monitor app stability. If the app crashes while compressing a large video, this tool tells us why it crashed (e.g., "Out of Memory"), but it does not show us the video itself. Google processes this data according to their privacy policy.

3. Permissions We Request

• Storage (Read/Write) / Media Access:
  - Read: Required to select the photos/videos you want to compress.
  - Write: Required to save the smaller, compressed file back to your gallery.
• Network Access: Required only for Firebase to send anonymous crash reports. Your media files are never sent over the network.

4. Data Security

Since we do not host your files, there is no risk of your data being intercepted on our servers. All compression logic is contained within the app installed on your phone.
