To ensure the AI engine runs smoothly without crashing, we use Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics. This collects anonymous technical data, such as:

• Device model (e.g., Pixel 8, Galaxy S24)
• Operating System version
• Crash logs (e.g., if the engine freezes during calculation)
• Anonymous performance metrics

This data helps us optimize the chess engine's difficulty and battery usage.

2. Third-Party Services We Use

• Firebase (Google LLC): Used for analytics and crash reporting. This helps us understand if a specific device has trouble rendering the chess board or calculating moves. View Google's policy here.

3. Permissions We Request

• Internet / Network Access: Required for the app to send anonymous crash reports to help us fix bugs.
• Prevent Phone from Sleeping (Wake Lock): Used to keep the screen on while you are thinking about your next move during a match.
• Vibration: Used to provide haptic feedback when a move is made (optional in settings).

4. Data Security

We do not require you to create an account to play. Since your match data is stored locally on your device, it remains private and under your control.
